Purtroppo le basi midi sono quasi tutte coperte da Copyright, sono quindi in vendita e non esiste un motore legale per trovarle tutte.
Il miglior modo per trovare ottimi midi italiani (anche ultime canzoni) è iscriversi al gruppo midiplace di Yahoo per E-mail dove gli iscritti si inviano E-mail con allegati midi. Si può sempre chiedere a qualcuno se ha un midi che cerchiamo e se risponde ce lo troviamo nella casella di posta.

PROGRAMMI PER MIDI
Alcuni programmi per l’editing & play
CAKEWALK (a pagamento sito ufficiale) Apre il midi e visualizza tutte le tracce su cui è possibile intervenire su qualsiasi cosa contenga (eventi, note, durate, velocità, tempo, chiave..), purtroppo tutto in inglese. Fra le funzioni importanti: – Visualizzazione in gruppo delle tracce desiderate sotto forma di spartito con la risoluzione,chiave scelta (anche per batteria) – Stampa delle note del midi su carta a diverse impaginazioni – Possibilità di effettuare selezioni col mouse, o specificando inizio e fine e agire su queste con taglia/copia/incolla multipli. Utile per esempio per prendere più basi diverse della stessa canzone e unire le tracce migliori in pochi secondi. Le selezioni possono essere fatte anche in modo avanzato specificando le proprietà delle note (altezza, durata, velocità). Ad esempio puoi incrementare del 110% la velocità dei DO. – Possibilità di ridurre in gruppo la velocità e durata delle note per una o tutte le tracce, creando quindi dei FADE IN/OUT del pezzo, specificando i valori anche in percentuale. Es: puoi scegliere il finale del brano e aumentare il volume delle note dal 100% al 120% – Incremento del tempo di esecuzione graduale tracciando col mouse una linea o impostando i valori – Possibilità di usare Sound Fonts per ogni traccia – Visualizzazione di accordi per chitarra – Visualizzazione delle lista degli eventi e modifica/inserimento Queste sono le funzioni più importanti del programma, se volete avere altre informazioni o sapere come si usano, scrivetemi per e-mail e vi risponderò appena possibile Ci sono moltissimi altri programmi per midi e audio (Cubase, Sound Studio Pro…), ma per editare midi Cakewalk basta e avanza

Potete trovarlo nei download utility di questo sito e permette di estrarre da file midi o kar il testo su file txt che poi si possono modificare e impaginare con Word
VANBASCO KARAOKE (freeware)
Famoso player gratuito per leggere midi e visualizzare a tutto schermo il testo per cantarci sopra. Link sito
MIDISOFT STUDIO 6.5 (trial)
Il miglior programma professionale per scrivere spartiti. C’è proprio tutto quello che serve: dalle espressioni, alle terzine, impaginazione, spazi fra righe e note, trasporto automatico in chiave, riproduzione. Purtroppo il demo (circa 11 Mb) è difficilmente reperibile ma per scrivere spartiti è il migliore e vale la pena cercarlo.
Se poi viene usato un programmi per stampare PDF si creano spartiti di pochi Kb in formato vettoriale che in stampa vengono perfetti. Problemi di secuzione su Windows Xp
NOTEWORTHY COMPOSER (evaluation)
Alternativa più semplice di Midisoft Studio. Tante funzionalità, in inglese. Non molto intuitivo in alcune funzioni, ma migliore di M.S. 6.5 in molte altre.
